Dockslide^® was created by Carl Schutt who had been involved in the rubber industry for many years and as a result, took an interest in docking rubbers on the rear of many trucks.

He could not understand why someone would fit an important piece of equipment, ie the docking rubber, and not service it properly. The docking rubber is there to absorb forces when the truck reverses into loading bays and to protect the vehicle and the loading bay. A lot of the rubbers are so severely damaged that they no longer do the job.

Carl asked many people in the industry why they did not replace the docking rubbers, thinking that the rubbers might be expensive. It turned out however, that it is the cost of downtime that is the issue, not the cost of the rubber itself.

Once the rubber and its holding device becomes extensively damaged, the time to repair it is unacceptable.

As a result Carl invented Dockslide^® which takes just minutes to fit and just minutes to change.
